The Original Post
I reactivated Facebook briefly to find a photo and decided to check in on a Beggar in my periphery. My favorite was a couple months ago when she said she was deleting Facebook, but was back in less than a day.
What Reddit Said
Redditors were absolutely horrified by the beggar’s tactics. Most commenters focused on how manipulative and dangerous it is to threaten suicide for money. Many noted that people who had previously donated probably regretted their generosity after seeing this behavior.
The community was particularly disturbed by the emotional manipulation involved. However, some users pointed out this is unfortunately common among serial beggars. In fact, many shared similar experiences with people in their own social circles who use guilt and threats to extract money from others.
The Verdict
Reddit unanimously agreed this facebook beggar threatens suicide behavior crosses every line of decency. The consensus was clear: this person feels dangerously entitled to other people’s money and uses harmful manipulation tactics. This represents a disturbing example of choosing beggar behavior that goes far beyond typical entitlement into potentially dangerous territory.
